Golrokh Nafisi

A person with a dark, shoulder-length mullet looks into the camera. She wears wire-frame glasses, a zip-up track jacket, and lipstick.

Golrokh Nafisi is an illustrator, animator, writer, and contemporary artist from Isfahan, Iran and based between Amsterdam and Tehran. Nafisi has studied at the Art University of Tehran in Iran and at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in the Netherlands. Currently her main focus is to imagine alternatives to both counting time and locating ourselves — a new imagination for calendars and maps as elements that measure and define our time and space to give us directions in the current moment.
